Next Steps for The 365 Project

2014 recap pic

So we had some milestones in Janaury.

January 14th was our 1 year anniversary!! YAAAAAYYY!

January 19th was our Atlanta release event!!

But before all of those things happened, on January 2 the contributors got together to plan for 2015. This was probably the first time ever we were all together physically. Most of our interactions as a group has been through emails or calls.

In this meeting we recapped what The 365 Project did in 2014.

Then we went back to the original vision of what the project was supposed to do:

a space for me and my friends to write together throughout the year about our journey as young professionals, just getting out of college and stepping out on our own. We were/are all writers with unique styles and I wanted the project to be this space where our talents were shared.

As we began planning for 2015 and beyond I was very intentional about how I spoke and wanted the project to no longer focus on me and the book but this artistic space. Don’t get me wrong, I love that this whole thing started as a healing place for me and the things that I have accomplished but when I think about The 365 Project as a whole, I realize how much bigger it is than me and a breakup.

A meeting that started at 7:00 p.m. on a Friday night ended closer to 11:00 p.m. with us coming out with a vision, a mission and goals for different parts of the year.

One of our main goals for this year is to provide more content on the site. If we start here in this virtual space making it a place where we share our talents, then eventually we can branch out into the communities we all serve.

So be on the lookout for pictures, articles, poems, etc from not only me but also the contributors. Some pieces will be original that they created just for the site, other pieces will be from the contributors’ personal sites that they want shared here.

We want to continue showcasing artists each month so stay tuned for those features.

Stay tuned for a new logo and ways in which we want to engage our community.

We are excited for what is to come.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us thus far. Thank you to our new followers who are just like, what is this The 365 Project thing. We are still trying to figure it out too lol. But take a look around and tell us what you think.

In fact you can start here to see how we got started.

Much love

– Bridgette
